Architectural Visualisation & 3D Rendering Services

Architectural visualisation, also known as 3D architectural visualisation or property CGI rendering, is the process of creating photorealistic 3D visuals that communicate the design, materials, and atmosphere of a proposed development. These computer-generated images (CGIs) are an essential part of modern property marketing, allowing architects, developers, and estate agents to showcase buildings before construction begins.

At the heart of our work are high-quality CGI renders—fully computer-generated images that bring both architecture and environment to life. This approach is ideal when little or no reference information is available for the surrounding area, as the entire scene can be created digitally with complete control over lighting, composition, and mood.

Our 3D architectural models are built using CAD drawings supplied by architects or designers. These drawings are imported into advanced 3D modelling software to form the foundation of the render. We can also work from traditional plans, sketches, or reference photos, ensuring every detail of the proposed design is accurately represented.

Once the model is created, we apply realistic materials, finishes, and lighting according to the architect’s specification. We then produce draft renders for review, allowing both the architect and client to refine the viewpoints and design details.

After approval, we produce high-resolution architectural renders, enhanced through digital post-production in Photoshop to achieve true-to-life, photorealistic results. These final images are perfect for marketing brochures, planning submissions, websites, and real estate listings, helping clients visualise and promote their developments with clarity and impact.

Architectural Photomontages

A photomontage is a highly effective form of architectural visualisation that combines 3D rendering with real-world photography to produce a photo-realistic image of a proposed development. Unlike traditional CGI renders, where both the building and its surroundings are digitally created, a 3D model of the building is precisely superimposed onto a photograph of the actual site. The result is a realistic, contextually accurate representation of how the finished project will sit within its real environment.

To ensure the highest accuracy, we replicate the camera position, lens angle, time of day, and lighting conditions of the original photograph within the 3D rendering software. By matching these parameters, the computer-generated building integrates seamlessly into the photograph, creating a true-to-life architectural photomontage.

Once the 3D model and photographic elements are aligned, we blend them together using advanced post-production techniques. Digital artwork and retouching are applied to enhance realism, atmospheric effects, and overall visual impact—resulting in a compelling, photo-realistic visualisation suitable for both planning submissions and marketing materials.

Where possible, we recommend using a professional architectural photographer to capture the site photography. High-resolution images taken with specialist equipment ensure the best possible results, delivering image clarity and detail far beyond that of standard consumer cameras.

We can provide guidance on all aspects of photography and image capture, and are happy to work with client-supplied images, our own photography, or high-quality stock photos—including aerial photography for elevated or panoramic photomontages.

Architectural Fly-Throughs, Walk-Throughs & 3D Animation

Our architectural animations—including both fly-through and walk-through videos—use the same 3D architectural models created for our CGI renders to produce fully immersive, photo-realistic visualisations of your development. These 3D animations offer a virtual tour of the proposed scheme, allowing viewers to explore both the interior and exterior spaces in a dynamic and engaging way.

Working closely with the client and design team, we identify the key features and focal points to be highlighted. From this, a storyboard or animation script is developed to define the sequence, camera movements, and narrative flow of the presentation—ensuring the animation effectively communicates the vision and design intent of the project.

Once the 3D model is complete, we generate draft animations for client review. These previews give a clear sense of the lighting, atmosphere, and pacing of the final piece. If a voice-over or soundtrack is required, the draft animations serve as a guide for synchronisation, ensuring a polished and professional result.

Our 3D architectural animations can be rendered at any resolution or aspect ratio and exported in all major video formats. They are suitable for a wide range of applications—from web and mobile presentations to large-screen displays, property marketing events, or projector-based exhibitions.

Whether you need a short promotional fly-through for property marketing or a detailed planning presentation, our 3D animation services provide a visually compelling way to bring your architectural designs to life.

Architectural Photo Editing & CGI Retouching

Our architectural photo editing services are ideal when a building already exists but requires visual modification or enhancement. Using advanced digital retouching and photo manipulation, we can update, refresh, or completely transform existing photography to achieve a photorealistic finish suitable for property marketing, planning submissions, or design presentations.

This process can range from subtle enhancements—such as adding people, vehicles, or signage—to more complex edits like altering building materials, updating façades, or redesigning interiors. Whether you need a simple visual update or a complete architectural facelift, our team ensures that the final image blends seamlessly and convincingly with the existing photograph.

We can also enhance the original photography itself, improving lighting, colour balance, shadows, reflections, and overall contrast to produce a more polished and engaging image. The result is a set of high-quality, professional visuals that communicate your vision clearly and elevate the impact of your presentation materials.

Verified Views, Verified View Montages (VVMs) & Accurate Visual Representations (AVRs)

Verified Views—also known as Verified View Montages (VVMs) or Accurate Visual Representations (AVRs)—are the most precise and reliable method of producing planning photomontages and visual impact images for architectural and urban design projects. These images are created using a rigorously controlled methodology that ensures the highest level of accuracy and credibility, making them essential for planning applications, public consultations, and townscape visual impact assessments (TVIAs).

Every verified photomontage is accompanied by a detailed Methodology Statement, documenting all data and processes used in its creation. This transparency allows planning authorities to assess visual impact with confidence, particularly in sensitive urban or heritage areas where accurate visualisation is crucial to the decision-making process.

To achieve this level of precision, a survey team records the camera position and orientation on-site using GPS and digital Ordnance Survey (O/S) grid references. This data is used to align the 3D model within a precise coordinate system. In addition, a laser measurement device is used to record multiple reference points—such as building corners, lampposts, or road markings—visible in the original photograph. Each of these points is assigned X, Y, and Z coordinates, which are then mapped back to the digital grid to ensure spatial accuracy.

In the 3D modelling software, these reference points are recreated to verify the camera alignment and ensure that the proposed building model sits perfectly within the real-world photograph. The result is a verified view montage that accurately represents how the development will appear from a specific location in the real environment.

Our team provides full support throughout the verified view process, from initial consultation and survey coordination to final image production.
